Fortnite is a popular internet based video game, that allows kids to play a last man standing style shooter game, against people from around the world or locally. On the other hand, a Fortnite Game Truck Atlanta company is literally a rolling video game arcade.
This arcade on wheels drives to your home, and gives your child and their friends the ability to play multiple video games, on multiple different televisions, all at the same time, and in the same space.
In this post we will discuss the pros and cons of playing a a video game that completely relies on a good internet connection, and whether hiring a Game Truck to play such a Game is A good idea.
Fortnite Game Truck Atlanta Companies’ Struggle With Online Games
Because of a Game Truck’s very nature of being mobile, it is virtually impossible to have a consistently stable internet connection. But that is exactly what is needed to play games like
I want to bring to your attention something that I am noticing more and more in our area, and I know from being in the industry, that the average parent is unaware of.
My concern is that I am seeing a lot of low cost, inexpensive GameTruck Birthday party trucks rolling around our neighborhoods. I am concerned because the average parent assumes that all GameTruck companies are basically the same, and therefore they naturally gravitate to the lower priced options.
I completely understand the need to save a dollar if, and when we can, but when thinking about utilizing the fairly new birthday party industry called GameTruck’s, there is somethings that 99% of parents don’t even think about asking or checking on, but …… they need to be aware of. That one thing is…. “insurance “One of the ways that low price competitors have a low price, is by not having ANY or Enough insurance to cover you in the event that your child or a guest gets hurt on their truck!!!!
If a GameTruck did have adequate or any insurance, there is absolutely Nooooooooooooooo Way that they could provide a mobile service for $299. The cost of insurance alone to cover GameTruck’s would not support such a low price. I have been in the GameTruck industry for almost a decade now, and my monthly insurance costs average nearly $800 per month. At $199 per party, I would have to do (4) parties to cover that cost alone! This is not taking into consideration all of the other various expenses associated with our type of business.
No… this is not a sexy topic, but when it come to our kids and their safety, you need to know if the inexpensive Game Truck that you hired to save a buck even has insurance.
WHAT IS A GAMETRUCK ANYWAY?
For those unfamiliar with the term GameTruck , let me catch you up to speed. A Gametruck can be as small as a Sprinter Van
Or as long as our 30ft Mobile V.I.P. Trailer
Either way, the idea is to load your child and their friends into one of these video game units and have a 2-hour video game party.
Regardless of the format that the GameTruck arrives in, the company that you hire will have at least (2) of the (3) forms of insurance. The price of these policies should be factored into the price of the party.
This is where we get to the heart of this article, these 3 types of insurance are Business liability insurance – Commercial Vehicle Insurance and Inland Marine Insurance, and can be very expensive to acquireand maintain, thats because the GameTuck industry is still very new to the insurance companies. Insurance companies see GameTrucks as risky, because there is a very short track record of what to expect from a Gametruck company. If you couple the (3) separate insurance policy’s with all of the reoccurring costs of owning a “Mobile” business, it would look like this:
Fuel for the Pickup Truck Or Sprinter
Fuel for the generator
Pickup Truck / Sprinter / Trailer Maintenance
Video Gaming system purchase or replacement
Video game CD / software purchases (New games always coming out)
Video game controllers and there constant replacement
Wear & Tear on multiple tires (usually 4 on Sprinter / 10 or more for Big Trailers & the Pickup Truck
Employee Labor $$$
Trailer storage
Advertising $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Website design and content maintenance & updating
Business Office rental & lease
You can quickly see how expensive it can be to operate a GameTruck business.
How Does This Impacts You!!!!
With all the aforementioned expenses associated with running a mobile video game truck, it is very easy and tempting, for some business owners to forgo purchasing or maintaining insurance. This puts you and your kids, and all the guests at risk if something goes wrong. If a GameTruck company doesn’t have insurance to cover you in the event that there is an accident on their truck, then there is no financial protection in place for you.
Why Would A Business Owner Take The Risk?
If you go back to the bullets that break down all the cost associated with the Gametruck industry, and couple that with companies charging ridiculously low, unrealistic and unmaintainable prices like $199 for 2 or more hours. You can see how quickly a Gametruck can run through money, and end up robbing Peter to pay Paul. Those who choose to play Russian roulette with business insurance are not necessarily evil or malicious people, but they may see this as an option to stay afloat.
When faced with not making enough sales to keep the lights on, because they are trying to “out price” others in the GameTruck industry with a unsustainably cheap price, some Gametruck business owners stoop to their primal instincts to survive.
My Advice?
If it looks to good to be true!!!!!! It probably is!!!!! As tempting as it maybe to want to hire a inexpensive Game truck, I would steer clear of low price leaders. They won’t be in business for long making penny profit, and they won’t be able to purchase all the latest games and equipment when it comes out, and finally the chances that they don’t have ample…. (if any) insurance is very high. The economics just don’t support it!
Instead when shopping for a GameTruck Party for your child, see how long the company has been around, check out what their reviews are like, and don’t be afraid to ask from PROOF of having recent and up to date insurance. If they don’t return your call, or give you some lame excuse as to why they can’t provide their insurance information, then runnnnnnnnnn!!! They are giving you all the warning signs that you need!
Below Is a list of the (3) types of insurance that any GameTruck you hire should have.
Business Liability Insurance
What most people don’t realize is that these types of mobile businesses can be difficult and very expensive to insure. For example, these video game truck businesses legally needs to have business insurance just to operate.
Business liability insurance protects a company and/or business owner in the event of a formal lawsuit or any third-party claim. This type of insurance covers the business from lawsuits, so if your child gets hurt on one of the trucks, there is some financial protection for the consumer.
Commercial Vehicle Insurance
This type of business insurance covers automobiles used for business, including company cars, and a wide variety of commercial trucks. Again the cost of this insurance will be passed along to the client in the form of the final party price.
Inland Marine Insurance
This refers to coverage that protects your business equipment and tools in transit or at a location This type of insurance is to cover the business from loss, in case of an accident, thief or vandalism. This doesn’t really effect the consumer, except for the cost of this insurance policy is rolled into the cost of the party.

What is a GameTruck Atlanta birthday party and why should parents care?
Well, imagine if you will, that 10 to 12 of your child’s favorite friends all came over to your home, and they are inside your house vying to play your child’s most popular video games. The kid’s have eaten cake, ice cream, pizza, chips and drinks all inside your clean house. Sure there may be some melted ice cream on your carpet, and the smushed in colored cake icing on your couch may come off with some Oxi-Clean, but it’s a kids party, you expect some mess.
Now image that same scenario, but instead of being inside your home, the scene is played out in the front of your house inside a 30ft VIP style trailer. The noise, the mess, and video games would be mere feet from your door steps. All of the party would be confided to a dedicated party truck. The GameTruck scenario comes with NO STRESS of NOcleaning up, and NO hosting a bunch of kids inside your clean home. That’s what a GameTruck is, and that’s why you should care!
To be more exact, the last scene is exclusive only to a Gamer vs Gamer video game birthday party service. That’s because Gamer vs Gamer is the only GameTruck that will allow kids to eat and drink inside their GameTruck, and then cleanup afterwards. But for the sake of this article we will discuss the basic features that “All GameTruck’s” have in common.
Benefits of a GameTruck
One of the benefits of hiring a GameTruck is that they have multiple televisions and gaming systems. This prevents your child’s friends from standing around waiting for someone to get out before they can play.
Also, a GameTruck is going to have a larger list in their video game library than the average home, and the GameTruck should also have multiple copies. This is beneficial when everyone wants to play the exact same game at the same time.
Lastly, as I mentioned earlier in this article, a kids birthday party can be very messy. The picture in this paragraph is an example of what the average Gamer Vs Gamer birthday party looks like after the kids leave.
This is a picture is a perfect example of why no other GameTruck wants kids to eat & drink inside their truck. All of this mess could easily be inside your home if you try to do the birthday party inside your castle instead of a GameTruck!
These examples represent just a few reasons why hiring a GameTruck to do your kids birthday party would be more beneficial than trying to do it yourself. Keep in mind that if you are interested in feeding the kids during the party, Gamer vs Gamer is currently the only GameTruck that allows food to be served inside the truck.
The alternative is to serve the food inside your home, and let the kids play the video games in the truck. Also, when shopping for a GameTruck please compare features and not by price. That’s because all GameTrucks are not the same, each company has something different about it.
For the past 14 years, the term Game Truck Rentals has been growing in popularity, however the new industry as a whole, is still in its infantile stage. Anyone with access to a pickup truck, and some money to buy an empty trailer, can insert themselves into the game truck business. No child management skills are required, no criminal background check is required. This lack of oversight is why one GameTruck will charge $299 for 2 hours and a company like mines, Gamer vs Gamer, will charge $999 for the same 2 hours.
The average game truck will simply pull up and allow your child to play the same video games that they already have inside their bed rooms. The problem with this is, that the novelty of playing video games inside a truck, wears off in about 45 minutes to an hour, and then the kids start to get bored and leave the truck. There is nothing new, or special about the video games inside the truck.
I am explaining all of this information, so that you know what to look out for when shopping for a Gamer Truck party.
Don’t go for the cheapest: When you are the cheapest at anything, you are admitting that there is nothing special about what you offer. So the only way to attract you is by lowering my value.
Look at reviews: Google and yelp reviews will tell you what the salesman won’t. Are they always late? Do they cancel at the last minute ? Etc
Do they offer anything else other than the same video games that you already have at home?
Is their business insured? And can they provide proof? We Have to insure the pickup truck that we drive, and then the trailer is a separate insurance policy, and then the business itself needs liability insurance. This all can’t be covered by doing a $299 party!
There is a lot of other things to look out for, but this article would become a mini novel. If you have further questions, feel free to contact me at 678-206-9810, my name is Corey. And you can learn more about my company at Https://BirthdayParty2You.com
If my child were having a game truck video game party in the near future, I can honestly say that I wouldn’t waste a dime on hiring A “standard” Atlanta Game Truck Party service. Why in the world would I make such a statement about the very industry that I am in?
The reason I can make this statement is because I have been in the industry for almost a decade, and I have noticed that “standard” game trucks are popping up everywhere like weeds. I emphasize the word “STANDARD”because there are some above average game truck options available.
Standard in this article refers to those who only provide the bare minimum. I’ve noticed that anyone with enough cash and access to video game equipment, can put together the most elementary version of a Game Truck just to take advantage of what “appears” to be a quick and easy way to make a buck.
Because it’s so easy to start a Game truck business, many consumers don’t realize that there is no necessarychild management experience or criminal background check required to start a Game Truck business.
But most importantly, I’ve noticed that playing video games on a trailer for 2 hours, is just not enough to keep the kids interested. Whenever I’ve done “video game only” parties with my company Gamer vs. Gamer, I’ve noticed that half way through the party, the kids go outside and play basketball, ride bikes and play tag.
The reason for the quick lack of interest is actually very simply… It’s video game fatigue. Let me explain, most kids play video games every single day of the week, multiple times per day (ie. In the bathroom, at the kitchen table, in the car, on the school bus, in school, in church on their phones) The easy and constant access to video games makes the “standard” video game truck more of a novelty than a celebration or experience.
The only alternative to a “standard” Game Truck is a “Game Truck experience”, one that focuses more on the celebration and recognition of your child birthday first, and playing video games second. Companies like Dacula’s very own Gamer vs Gamer, who purposely refrains from following the path of least resistance by simply allowing kids to play video games and then go home, like every other game truck out there.
This Dacula based Game Truck Experience is unique because they actually have a birthday party, complete with cake, ice cream, pizza, popcorn machines, drinks, dance party segments, 5 minute movie segments and what they call a Tear- Jerker video segment.
Lastly, in addition to steering away from “standard” video game only Game Trucks, it is recommended that the parents who do decide to go ahead and hire a “standard” Game truck should limit the amount of video game playing the day of the Game Truck Birthday Party. This deferment of video game gratification will help to build excitement and anticipation for the party and help reduce video game fatigue.
