Not All Game Trucks Birthday Parties Are Equal
For the past 14 years, the term Game Truck Rentals has been growing in popularity, however the new industry as a whole, is still in its infantile stage. Anyone with access to a pickup truck, and some money to buy an empty trailer, can insert themselves into the game truck business. No child management skills are required, no criminal background check is required. This lack of oversight is why one GameTruck will charge $299 for 2 hours and a company like mines, Gamer vs Gamer, will charge $999 for the same 2 hours.
The average game truck will simply pull up and allow your child to play the same video games that they already have inside their bed rooms. The problem with this is, that the novelty of playing video games inside a truck, wears off in about 45 minutes to an hour, and then the kids start to get bored and leave the truck. There is nothing new, or special about the video games inside the truck.
I am explaining all of this information, so that you know what to look out for when shopping for a Gamer Truck party.

Don’t go for the cheapest: When you are the cheapest at anything, you are admitting that there is nothing special about what you offer. So the only way to attract you is by lowering my value.

Look at reviews: Google and yelp reviews will tell you what the salesman won’t. Are they always late? Do they cancel at the last minute ? Etc

Do they offer anything else other than the same video games that you already have at home?

Is their business insured? And can they provide proof? We Have to insure the pickup truck that we drive, and then the trailer is a separate insurance policy, and then the business itself needs liability insurance. This all can’t be covered by doing a $299 party!
